Aging in Data (AiD) workshop

Aging in Data Research Network Barcelona workshop, May 2024
At this workshop, we engaged academics, policymakers and older adults with lived experience in Catalonia to explore how ageing and data are entangled in complex ways and how we might design artefacts and outcomes that help us grapple with these complexities. This workshop was held in partnership with the Aging in Data research network, the Open University of Catalonia's Internet Interdisciplinary Institute and RMIT Europe. For this workshop we developed a remixed version of Thing From the Future to explore possibilities for ageing with data. U3A Playshops

In the U3A playshops, participants explored their feelings in relation to everyday encounters with data, AI and datafication in the present and recent past. Most participant groups expressed mixed feelings on these topics, with some feeling more concerned than others.
