Chief Investigator - Distinguished Professor Larissa Hjorth
Distinguished Professor Larissa Hjorth is a digital ethnographer, socially-engaged artist and Australian Research Council Future Fellow in the School of Media & Communication at RMIT University. Hjorth has two decades experience leading mobile media projects to explore innovative methods around intergenerational connection, intimacy, games, play, loss and death in the Asia-Pacific region (Japan, South Korea, China and Australia). Hjorth’s Future Fellowship explores mobile media mourning rituals. She has two decades experience as an artist exploring creative, critical and playful methods for social change.
Research Fellow - Dr Caitlin McGrane
Dr Caitlin McGrane is a postdoctoral Research Fellow in the School of Media & Communication at RMIT University. McGrane's research explores gender, identity, technology and everyday life. McGrane is also experienced in working in community and not-for-profit sectors, particularly leading innovative research projects addressing gendered online harassment of women and gender diverse people in the public eye.
